Description
Whiskey Pepper Deviled Eggs are a delicious twist on the classic deviled eggs, featuring a rich and creamy filling with a kick of whiskey and a hint of pepper. Perfect for parties!
Ingredients
6 large eggs
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon whiskey
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
Fresh chives for garnish
Instructions
1. Place the eggs in a pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
2. Once boiling, cover the pot and remove from heat. Let sit for 12 minutes.
3. Transfer the eggs to an ice bath to cool for 5 minutes.
4. Peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise.
5. Remove the yolks and place them in a bowl. Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, whiskey, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt. Mash until smooth.
6. Fold in the cheddar cheese and cream cheese until well combined.
7. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.
8. Garnish with fresh chives and a sprinkle of paprika before serving.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add a few dashes of hot sauce to the yolk filling.
These deviled eggs can be prepared a day in advance. Just keep them refrigerated until ready to serve.
