Description
This Ultimate Maple-Bourbon Bacon Cheeseburger Stack combines the smoky flavor of bacon with the sweetness of maple and the richness of bourbon for a truly epic burger experience.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
4 slices bacon
4 slices cheddar cheese
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup bourbon
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp salt
4 burger buns
Lettuce, tomato, and onion for toppings
Instructions
1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
2. In the same skillet, add the ground beef, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 patties and cook for about 4 minutes on each side.
3. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty to melt.
4. In a small saucepan, combine maple syrup and bourbon, and heat until warm.
5. Assemble the burgers: place a patty on the bottom half of each bun, add crispy bacon, and drizzle with the maple-bourbon sauce. Top with lettuce, tomato, and onion, then cover with the top half of the bun.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding a fried egg on top. You can also customize your toppings to include avocado or pickles for added texture.
