Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup diced onion

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 batch of pretzel dough (store-bought or homemade)

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Coarse salt for topping


Instructions

1. In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.

2. Add crumbled bacon, onion, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir until well combined and heated through.

3. Roll out pretzel dough on a floured surface into a large rectangle.

4. Cut the dough into squares (about 4×4 inches).

5. Place a spoonful of the beef mixture in the center of each square, and top with shredded cheddar cheese.

6. Fold the corners of the dough over the filling and pinch to seal.

7. Place filled pretzels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

8. Brush each pretzel with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse salt.

9. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.


Notes

These stuffed pretzels can be made in advance and frozen. Just bake them straight from the freezer, adding a few extra minutes to the baking time.
