Description

These Spicy Honey Garlic Shrimp Tacos with Avocado Salsa are the perfect blend of sweet, spicy, and savory flavors, wrapped in a warm tortilla and topped with creamy salsa. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a weekend gathering!

Ingredients

– 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

– 2 tbsp olive oil

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 1/4 cup honey

– 1 tbsp soy sauce

– 1 tsp chili powder

– 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

– Salt and pepper to taste

– 8 small corn tortillas

– 1 ripe avocado, diced

– 1/2 cup diced tomatoes

– 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped

– 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped

– 1 lime, juiced

Instructions

1.

2. 1. In a bowl, combine the shrimp, olive oil, garlic, honey, soy sauce, chili powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let it marinate for 15 minutes.

3. 2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated shrimp and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until the shrimp are pink and cooked through.

4. 3. While the shrimp is cooking, prepare the avocado salsa by combining diced avocado, tomatoes, red onion, cilantro, lime juice, and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Gently mix to combine.

5. 4. Warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side.

6. 5. Assemble the tacos by placing a few shrimp on each tortilla and topping with avocado salsa. Serve immediately.

Notes

– For extra heat, feel free to add more cayenne pepper or sliced jalapeños.

– You can substitute shrimp with chicken or tofu for a different protein.

– These tacos are best served fresh but can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
