Description

These Roasted Onion Biscuit Bombs are fluffy, savory bites filled with caramelized onions and cheese, perfect for parties or a cozy snack!

Ingredients

– 2 large onions, thinly sliced

– 2 tablespoons olive oil

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1 teaspoon pepper

– 1 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

– 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough

– 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)

– 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. 1. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and thyme. Cook until the onions are soft and caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.

3. 2. Remove the skillet from heat and let the onions cool slightly.

4. 3. Open the biscuit dough and separate it into individual biscuits.

5. 4. Flatten each biscuit in your hand and place a spoonful of the caramelized onions and a sprinkle of cheese in the center.

6. 5. Fold the biscuit dough around the filling and pinch to seal. Shape into a ball.

7. 6. Place the biscuit bombs seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

8. 7. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.

9. 8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

10. 9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to experiment with different cheeses or add herbs for extra flavor. These can be made ahead of time and reheated in the oven!
