These Ranch Pepper Tater Tot Skillet Melts are a delicious combination of crispy tater tots, savory ranch seasoning, and gooey melted cheese topped with a sweet brown sugar glaze. Perfect for a quick dinner or a fun party appetizer!
Ingredients
2 cups frozen tater tots
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup ranch dressing
1/4 cup diced bell peppers (red and green)
1/4 cup diced onions
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and add the diced onions and bell peppers. Sauté until soft, about 5 minutes.
3. Add the frozen tater tots to the skillet and cook according to package instructions until golden brown, about 15-20 minutes.
4. Drizzle the ranch dressing over the tater tots and sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir gently to combine.
5. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top and return to the oven until the cheese is melted, about 5 minutes.
6. In a small saucepan, combine the brown sugar with 1 tablespoon of water and heat over low until melted and smooth. Drizzle over the skillet melts before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add cooked bacon bits or diced jalapeños to the skillet. These melts are great for customization!
