Ingredients
For the Brownies:
– 1 cup unsalted butter
– 2 cups granulated sugar
– 4 large eggs
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1 cup all-purpose flour
– 1 cup cocoa powder
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
For the Pumpkin Cheesecake Swirl:
– 8 oz cream cheese, softened
– 1 cup pumpkin puree
– 1/2 cup granulated sugar
– 1 large egg
– 1 teaspoon pumpkin spice
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
1. 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
2. 2. In a large bowl, melt the butter and stir in the sugar until well combined.
3. 3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla.
4. 4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add to the wet ingredients until just combined.
5. 5. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Mix in pumpkin puree, sugar, egg, pumpkin spice, and vanilla until creamy.
6. 6. Pour half the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Spread the pumpkin cheesecake mixture evenly over the brownie layer. Drop spoonfuls of the remaining brownie batter on top and swirl with a knife.
7. 7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool before cutting into squares.
