Description

These ooey-gooey maple biscuit bomb bites are the perfect appetizer for any gathering. Soft, flaky biscuits filled with a sweet maple filling and topped with a buttery glaze. Perfect for parties or as a snack!

Ingredients

Scale

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed

3/4 cup milk

1/2 cup maple syrup

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted (for glaze)

1/4 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

3. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

4. Stir in the milk until just combined.

5. On a floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thick.

6. Cut into squares and place a small amount of maple syrup and brown sugar in the center of each square.

7. Fold the dough over the filling to create a bomb shape and seal the edges.

8. Place the biscuit bombs on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

9. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown.

10. While baking, mix the melted butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract for the glaze.

11. Once the bombs are out of the oven, drizzle the glaze on top while still warm.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a pinch of cinnamon to the filling! These biscuit bombs are best served warm. Enjoy with a cup of coffee or tea.
