Ingredients
2 cups whole milk
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup chopped pecans, toasted
1/2 cup whipped cream for topping
Pinch of salt
Instructions
1. In a medium saucepan, combine the milk, heavy cream, cocoa powder, maple syrup, and a pinch of salt.
2. Heat over medium heat, whisking continuously until the mixture is hot and well combined.
3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and toasted pecans.
4. Pour the hot chocolate into mugs and top with whipped cream.
5. Drizzle with extra maple syrup and sprinkle with additional pecans if desired.
Notes
