Description

These Maple Bourbon Glazed Turkey Meatballs are a perfect festive appetizer, featuring a delicious sweet and savory glaze. The addition of cranberry drizzle elevates the flavor and presentation, making them a hit at any holiday gathering!

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb ground turkey

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

1 large egg

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/4 cup maple syrup

1/4 cup bourbon

1/2 cup cranberry sauce

1 tbsp Dijon mustard

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.

3. Form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

4. In a small saucepan, combine maple syrup, bourbon, cranberry sauce, Dijon mustard, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.

5. Brush the glaze over the meatballs and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

6. Remove the meatballs from the oven and drizzle with additional cranberry sauce before serving.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the meatball mixture.

These meatballs can be made ahead of time and reheated in the oven.

Feel free to substitute ground chicken or pork for the turkey if desired.
