Scale

1 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1/4 cup maple syrup

4 strips cooked bacon, crumbled

Optional: extra bacon for topping

Instructions

2. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.

3. In a large bowl, mix the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined.

4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.

5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.

6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.

7. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the powdered sugar and maple syrup, and mix until creamy.

8. Fold in the crumbled bacon into the cream cheese mixture.

9. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.

12. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
