Description

These delicious honey maple onion rings are stuffed with extra cheese, making them the perfect appetizer or snack for any occasion!


Ingredients

2 large onions

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup breadcrumbs

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup maple syrup

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Oil for frying


Instructions

1. Peel the onions and slice them into thick rings.

2. In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, honey, maple syrup, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

3. Separate the onion rings and stuff each ring with the cheesy mixture.

4. Dredge the stuffed onion rings in flour, then dip in beaten egg, and coat with breadcrumbs.

5. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.

6. Fry the onion rings in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
