These crispy stuffed jalapeño poppers are a crowd-pleasing appetizer that features a creamy cheese filling, making them perfect for parties or game-day gatherings.
Ingredients
8 fresh jalapeño peppers
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup crumbled bacon
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1 cup breadcrumbs
2 large eggs, beaten
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Cut the jalapeño peppers in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes.
3. In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
4. Stuff each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
5. Set up a breading station: one bowl with beaten eggs, and another with breadcrumbs.
6. Dip each stuffed jalapeño in the egg, then coat with breadcrumbs.
7. Place the jalapeños on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
9. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
For extra heat, leave some seeds in the jalapeños. You can also experiment with different types of cheese or add spices to the filling for an extra kick.
