Description

These Chocolate Chip Bacon Muffins with Maple Glaze are the perfect fusion of sweet and savory. The crispy bacon adds a delightful crunch that complements the rich chocolate chips, all topped off with a sweet maple glaze. Perfect for brunch or a special treat!

Ingredients

– 1 cup all-purpose flour

– 1/2 cup sugar

– 1/2 cup brown sugar

– 2 tsp baking powder

– 1/2 tsp baking soda

– 1/4 tsp salt

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

– 2 large eggs

– 1/2 cup milk

– 1 tsp vanilla extract

– 1/2 cup chocolate chips

– 1/2 cup cooked bacon, chopped

– 1 cup powdered sugar

– 2 tbsp maple syrup

– 1-2 tbsp milk (for glaze consistency)

Instructions

1.

2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.

3. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

4. In another bowl, combine the melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix well.

5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

6. Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped bacon until evenly distributed.

7. Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about 2/3 full.

8. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

9. While the muffins are baking, prepare the maple glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, maple syrup, and enough milk to reach a drizzling consistency.

10. Once the muffins are done, let them cool slightly in the pan before transferring them to a wire rack.

11. Drizzle the maple glaze over the warm muffins before serving.

12.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add chopped nuts or a sprinkle of sea salt on top of the glaze.

These muffins can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

You can also freeze the muffins for up to a month—just thaw and reheat before serving.
