Ingredients
1 loaf of pull-apart bread
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup diced jalapenos (fresh or pickled)
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup chopped cilantro (for garnish)
Tortilla chips (for serving)
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, jalapenos, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
3. Slice the pull-apart bread in a crosshatch pattern, making sure not to cut all the way through the bottom.
4. Gently pry apart the slices and spoon the queso mixture into each section of the bread.
5. Wrap the bread in aluminum foil and bake for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
6. Remove from the oven, unwrap, and garnish with chopped cilantro.
7. Serve warm with tortilla chips for dipping.
Notes
For extra flavor, add cooked bacon bits to the queso mixture.
You can adjust the spiciness by adding more or fewer jalapenos to the recipe.
This dish is best served immediately but can be reheated in the oven if needed.
