Description
A delightful fusion of buttery egg rolls and pizza, topped with a spicy jalapeno crunch that brings a burst of flavor in every bite.
Ingredients
– 1 package of egg roll wrappers
– 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
– 1 cup pepperoni slices
– 1/2 cup jalapenos, sliced and pickled
– 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
– 1/4 cup butter, melted
– 1 tsp garlic powder
– 1 tsp Italian seasoning
– Salt and pepper to taste
– Cooking spray or oil for frying
Instructions
1. 1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. 2. In a bowl, mix the mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, jalapenos, and Parmesan cheese.
3. 3. Take an egg roll wrapper and place about 2 tablespoons of the filling in the center.
4. 4. Fold the sides of the egg roll wrapper over the filling and roll it tightly, sealing the edges with a little water.
5. 5. Brush the outside of each egg roll with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
6. 6. Place the egg rolls on a baking sheet and spray with cooking spray.
7. 7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
8. 8. Serve hot with marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
Notes
– You can customize the filling with your favorite pizza toppings.
– For a spicier version, use fresh jalapenos instead of pickled ones.
– These egg rolls can also be deep-fried for a different texture.
