Description
A deliciously sweet and savory pork roast ring glazed with brown sugar and bourbon, served with a creamy garlic parmesan sauce. Perfect for a festive dinner or special occasion.
Ingredients
2–3 lb pork roast
2 tbsp brown sugar
1/4 cup bourbon
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, bourbon, soy sauce, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
3. Rub the mixture all over the pork roast.
4. Place the pork roast in a roasting pan and bake for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
5. While the pork is roasting, prepare the garlic parmesan sauce by heating heavy cream in a saucepan over medium heat.
6. Once the cream is simmering, stir in the grated parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
7. Remove from heat and set aside.
8. When the pork roast is done, let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
9. Serve slices of the pork roast drizzled with garlic parmesan sauce and garnished with chopped parsley.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the pork roast in the bourbon mixture for several hours before cooking.
You can also add vegetables to the roasting pan for a complete meal.
Adjust the level of cayenne pepper to your spice preference.
