Description
These Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers are the perfect spicy snack! Cream cheese and cheddar fill fresh jalapeños, all wrapped in crispy bacon and served with a smoky cheese dip.
Ingredients
6 large jalapeños
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
12 slices of bacon
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Cut the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes.
3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
4. Stuff each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
5. Wrap each stuffed jalapeño with a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick if needed.
6. Place the jalapeños on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the bacon is crispy.
8. While the jalapeños are baking, prepare the smoky cheese dip by mixing sour cream and Monterey Jack cheese in a bowl.
9. Serve the jalapeño poppers hot with the smoky cheese dip on the side.
Notes
For extra flavor, try adding spices like cayenne or chili powder to the cheese mixture. You can also use turkey bacon for a healthier option.
